Sunday 6 March, 2011
"With over 500 images packed in 350 pages and put out by Spain’s Epicur Publishing House, the volume provides readers with all the details on the history of habano making"
The Grand Habano Book, by Cuban author and tobacco researcher Adriano Martinez, is an indispensable reference work for those willing to take a closer look at the history and culture of the thrilling world of habanos.
Martinez Ruiz, who acted as advisor for the president of Habanos S.A. until 1998, has been involved in the field of research on Cuban tobacco since his retirement.
At age 72, he’s now the author of four books: Habano King, The Great Habano Cigars, The Habano Encyclopedia After 1959, and now The Grand Habano Book.
This edition is being launched within the framework of the 13th Habano Festival in such countries as Switzerland, Germany, UK, Belgium and Sweden, and is due out later on in Argentina, Chile and Mexico.
A major highlight has been his research on the marketing of habano and the movement behind the Habano Festivals.
